Rely on United Rentals’ pipe plugs for rent, a simple solution for a variety of plumbing and pipe applications. Our inventory features both 8- to 12-inch and 24- to 48-inch flow-through pipe plugs with a bypass feature that allows for flow without removing the plug. Flow-through pipe plugs are ideal for gravity bypassing, sewer bypass pumping or for conducting low-pressure sewer air tests. Test ball plugs are expandable rubber pipe plugs, used to test drain, vent and waste pipe systems or temporarily stop flow for maintenance or repair.

A pipe plug is a type of threaded tool used to seal pipelines in various applications and prevent flow. Pipe plugs are commonly used for maintenance, line testing, construction and more.
Test ball plugs are a type of pneumatic pipe plug, designed to be inflated and deflated for quick, temporary use. They are suitable for use in a variety of pipe sizes. Simply insert and position the deflated test ball plug into the necessary pipe, then expand to the necessary pressure. Because test ball plugs are temporary, it is recommended to check inflation pressure every couple of hours.
To find the correct pipe plug for your pipe, measure the pipe's inside diameter. Then, subtract ¼ of an inch to find that pipe’s nominal size. Then, using a National Pipe Tapered (NPT) thread chart, find the measured thread diameter to determine the corresponding nominal pipe plug size. ¿Necesita más ayuda?
