From large industrial fans to portable evaporative cooling fans, keep your site at the right temperature for your project’s duration. We also carry an extensive selection of air scrubbers and air purifiers that allow your crew to breathe easy knowing that your site is free of dust, fumes and other airborne contaminants. Lastly, our fleet of air movers is ideal for creating circulation in enclosed spaces and rapidly drying water-damaged worksites. We have blowers and fans for rent of varying sizes and cubic feet per minute (CFM) output capabilities, ideal for nearly any application indoors or outside. Reach out to a United Rentals representative for additional support locating rental fans or blowers, or learn more about fans and blowers in our FAQ section below.
Evaporative coolers cool air through the evaporation of water. Evaporative coolers typically only use water and electricity, unlike other air conditioning systems which use vapor compression or absorption cycles. They cool naturally and are best in open environments with fresh air (e.g., a warehouse space with large open doors).
The fan on your HVAC system controls the blower; the blower is what circulates the cool or hot air in the space until the set temperature is reached. Additionally, HVAC fans can reduce humidity when you set the fan to the automatic feature. Moisture from the cold cooling coils can be drained outside. However, if your fan runs continuously, the unit does not have a chance to drain outside and blows moisture back inside.
Air movers help speed up the process of evaporation of moisture in wet spaces. Air movers are ideal for drying carpets, mats, upholstery and floors. If you plan to use an air mover, keep in mind that any area not reached by the flow of air will likely remain damp and could become weak or moldy.
