FAQs About Self-Propelled One-Person Lifts
Our one-person lifts for rent are reliable, portable and simple to operate for construction and maintenance work. These vertical lifts, also known as man lifts or personnel lifts, can reach up high for indoor maintenance, painting, inspection and other jobs. Their narrow width allows the lifts to pass through a standard doorway and fit in tight work areas. These electric drivable man lifts are convenient and easy to move around your worksite. Our one-man drivable lift rentals come in heights of up to 20 feet. Available options include pew straddle accessories, ideal for working over pews/seating, as well as narrow options, like scissor lifts, that are ideal for tight spaces. United Rentals only carries drivable single-man lifts from trusted manufacturers like Genie, JLG and Skyjack. Learn more about our self-propelled aerial lift rentals in our FAQ section below.
Maximum platform height and working height depends on the model. The largest single man drivable lift rental has a maximum platform height of 20 feet and a maximum working height of 26 feet. Our one-man drivable lift rentals have maximum weight capacities ranging between 350 and 500 pounds. Always refer to the owners manual and guidelines on weight capacity before operating any self-propelled man lift.
Vertical lifts are designed for level surfaces and are not to be operated on uneven surfaces that exceed the equipment’s given gradeability. Always refer to the operators manual or contact your local United Rentals representative for more information on a vertical lift’s gradeability.
